Cold pools Suck for swimming lessons for kids! Learn to Swim in a warm pool!
Swimming lessons in cold water would be like taking a cold shower or a cold bath. If the environment for learning to swim is uncomfortable for the child it is unlikely that much is going to be learned because the only thing the kids learning to swim will be thinking about is how cold the water is.
Did you know that you can find a swimming center specifically designed to teach kids how to swim? I don’t think you would take your kids to learn to do gymnastics to a dance studio so why would you take your child to learn to swim in an environment not designed for such a purpose. You want a place that has the primary purpose of teaching swimming lessons and that is what you should get.
The neighborhood health club is not a primary swimming lesson facility and it is only an add on to the main programming offered it may be a good idea to locate a facility dedicated to teaching swimming lessons to kids. You have to make sure the class structure is organized and effective. Swimming lessons should follow an organized curriculum and follow proper progressions.
Parents should pay close attention to the level of education of the instructors. Swimming is a important life skill for kids to learn and you want to make sure the instructors are dedicated to the same objective as you.
You want the best enviroment for your child to learn to swim and it is a good idea to find a local facility offering the best swimming lessons around.
