PS3 has exclusive games such as Metal Gear Solid IV, Killzone 2, Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet, and the Wii games that are exclusive include Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, No More Heroes and Metroid Prime 3. However, Wii games are casual and family friendly, while Playstation 3 games aim for hardcore gaming audience.

Online – Nintendo Wii has online service that facilitates the gamers to access the virtual console and also facilitates them in purchasing as well as downloading the classic console games that includes Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros. Wii gamers can enjoy their games to the core by exchanging their friend codes that have 12 digit numbers, but each console has a unique number. Playstation 3 allows the gamers to access a free online service, the Playstation network, so that the players can play online as well as purchase movies or games and as well download them to their hard drives.

Price – Nintendo Wii is considered to be a value console as it is available at $259.99 and this price tag is significantly lesser than Playstation 3 that costs $599.99. However, recently, PS3 slim is available at $299.99 and the gap between the two gaming consoles has narrowed.
